Hey Andrea

Thanks for sharing amazing part.

Really great writing

Just highlighting this part

I can see the sun starting to peak out over the horizon through the copse of thick oak and bushes

My heart lifted, calm settling deeper into me. The sun beginning to warm my face, I sigh.

Keep writing 💫

The contrast between the bathroom scene and the creek scene is great.

I’m not saying I had similar experiences in my college days… but I’m not not saying either.

I’m not saying this isn’t totally fiction but I’m not saying it is either ;) . Either way it was a fun one to write!

bet it was a great party the night before. I guess you don’t have to remember it for it to he good!

Andrea (Andy) Curran 🌄's avatar

Maybe an amalgamation of all parties at once.

Sounds about right. I remember when those parties were at my own place, waking up… not to much the next morning, but early the next afternoon, wondering who the people sleeping on the floor were.

Yep! Just trash and cups and cigarette butts everywhere. I often had parties at my house but I would stay up and clean up around the party. People would wake up to a perfectly clean house and breakfast on the table at 11 AM. Fun times :D Got a few nicknames out of that.

Extremely vivid writing! It really pulled me in.

Thank you so much for reading! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I think, it's a bit gross on re-read. 😂 We'll just say it's all part of the process.

Alicia's avatar

The gross parts made it special though - you made it visceral! And totally human too. I loved it.

Thanks for that I really appreciate it!

i opened this thinking, i'm not sure if i have the attention span for a 7 min story right now, but got so hooked by the first few lines and all of a sudden i've read it all XD

beautifully descriptive, i was getting so grossed out by the details of the scene. well done!

Thank you so much for reading! Sorry not sorry for the gross out! Gross to write too but I thought it was a fun transition to the peace similar to the processes of pendulation and titration in somatic experiencing. Balances feeling grossed out with the calm nature and a beautiful doe!

yesss really well done

That's a rough morning. I wonder if the doe went back to tell her deer friends about the wild creature she saw near the water. 😊

Andrea (Andy) Curran 🌄's avatar

I bet she did too! 🦌

Ninjastroni's avatar

I would be interested in reading that experience, too. 😊

Definitely not as entertaining, probably a sonic breakfast sandwich and a nap 😂

The fridge scene is so vivid, im not sure if it sent a chill down my spine or if I let go a giggle. Brilliantly written!
